Our Programming Committee is dedicated to the proper management and organization of the Chapter's community service, athletics, social events, greek relations, and Brotherhood events. We seek to serve our Brotherhood as well as our community and, since our reinstatement, we have had many successes and achievements.
On campus, we have worked with other student organizations to serve the community around us. Within our first term, we worked with Alpha Phi Omega’s Zeta Theta Chapter and Alpha Kappa Psi’s Eta Psi Chapter to coordinate a clothing drive, in which donations were sent to the Broad Street Ministry and Philly AIDS Thrift store. Our Chapter has also made great connections with off-campus organizations such as Rebuilding Together, Habitat for Humanity, Drexel University’s Summer-Winter Garden, and many more. In the neighborhood of Somerset, our brothers worked with Rebuilding Together to aid in the repair and development of homes, cleaning streets, the safe disposal of syringes that infested the area, removing weeds, watering plants at the local community garden, and aiding in the construction of a sculpture to adorn the neighborhood. PA Delta Iota is also involved in the education of our local community. Some of our brothers volunteered with City Year Serves to paint murals at Penn Treaty School and, with Books Through Bars, some of our brothers assisted in the organization and preparation of books to be sent to prisoners in Philadelphia’s prisons. |
